I already took an Introductory class…what should I do next?
You can do a few things!
Take a different Introductory class or a level 2 class. We have lots of options on our booking page, here.
Practice what you learned in class in a Guided Rental session. Learn more here.

We offer quite a few options for Introductory classes! Projects typically range from marbles, figurines, pendants, ornaments, etc. Check out all our upcoming Introductory classes here!
Do I get to take home my project right away?
All items made during classes have to cool down slowly overnight in a process called “annealing”. This ensures the strength and stability of your projects.
Students can pick up their work as soon as the next day. (Studio hours permitting) or shipping is available for $5.
Do you teach private lessons?
We sure do! We offer private lessons by appointment for individuals or groups as large as 12 people. Click here to learn more.
Can I bring food and drinks for our group to have during or after the class?
Yes! We are, however, a working studio. What this means in terms of hanging out/having drinks and snacks is that space is relatively limited- but we’re happy to accommodate as much as we can! Please do let us know in advance if you plan to bring any food/drink, and any alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted during or before the class.
What is the difference between “Open” & “Guided” rental?
Good question!
Guided Rental is for both our beginning students as well those seeking a little extra help. The only requirement is that you have taken one of our intro classes or equivalent experience. Students can work on any project they like and an experienced Fiamma Instructor will help guide them along. This is a great way to practice skills and create the projects you learned in class at your own pace.
Open Rental is intended for those with a bit more experience. While a staff member will always be in attendance, those renting a bench are expected to be comfortable with all of the equipment and able to operate in a safe manner. We generally find renters are able to shift into Open Rental after attending a Guided session or 2.
You book your session here!
What types of torches do you have available for rental?
We have Nortel Minor Burners and a Carlisle CC torch.
Can I bring my own torch?
If you have your own torch and would like to use it at Fiamma, please contact us via phone or email before booking/coming in for your Rental Session.
What is included in a Guided or Open Rental Session?
All materials are included for your first Guided Rental Session! We have a selection of glass available for purchase after your first Guided Rental Session.
We provide all the tools, safety glasses and kiln space for your session.
Do you sell materials or tools?
We do sell a limited amount of supplies and tools here in the studio. If we do not have the tools or glass that you would like to purchase, we are happy to recommend an online retailer.
I have previous experience, can I join a Rental Session?
You sure can! We do require that all Renters do an hour or so of Guided Rental to get acquainted with studio procedures, etc.
What is flameworking?
Flameworking, is the art of manipulating molten hot glass using a torch. Pre-formed glass rods and tubes can be heated and manipulated into beads, figurines, ornaments, jewelry, sculpture, and more!
Can I tip my teacher?
Tips are most welcome but not at all expected.
I forgot something at the Studio! Do you have a Lost & Found?
Yes! We will hold on to items that are left behind for 2 weeks.
Please note: Fiamma Glass is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
